Two streams cross this land on their way down the mountain, and the place is named for them. They were here long before us and will be here long after, which is the correct way to think about who really owns it.
Chris is the steward of Land of Two Streams. He keeps the water running, the trails clear, and the orchard bearing, and when practitioners want it, he keeps their camp too, so the people doing the work can stay inside it. The land is his responsibility. The work that happens on it is always yours.
What we ask of everyone who comes is simple: care for the land the way you care for your people, be honest with us in the conversation, and leave the place at least as alive as you found it.
This land sits within the traditional territory of the Awaswas-speaking peoples, whose descendants are represented today by the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.
